Our story
Procestimal is a company based in The Netherlands focussing on helping organizations optimize their processes. It was founded in 2023 by logistical expert, Dutch Naval Officer and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Floris Lap MSc. After completing Lean Six Sigma training in 2019, he noticed a significant gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. As a result, many individuals in his surroundings were trained in Lean; however, progress came to a standstill. This inefficiency motivated him to seek a solution. Not being able to find it anywhere he decided to create it himself and share it through Procestimal with others.
Mission of Procestimal
Empowering organizations to maximize value and reduce waste with Lean Six Sigma.
Vision of Procestimal
A sustainable world where organizations maximize value with minimal resources.
Audience of Procestimal
Specifically, Procestimal’s audience comprises professionals actively engaged in optimizing processes within their organizations using Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. These individuals are typically improvement specialists, team leaders, or managers. All of whom seek practical, accessible tools to reduce waste, enhance value, and drive continuous improvement. They value structured, proven approaches like Lean Six Sigma and are looking for effective ways to apply them in real-world settings. Procestimal supports these professionals by offering modular, on-demand e-learning aligned with the IASSC Body of Knowledge, designed to bridge the gap between theory and daily practice.
Guiding principles of Procestimal
1. Promoting sustainable success
Firstly, at Procestimal, our purpose is to bring positive change by spreading the Lean Six Sigma methodology to foster a more sustainable world. We are dedicated to utilizing and disseminating Lean principles to empower organizations. For them to consume fewer resources while concurrently maximizing customer satisfaction. We aim to reduce environmental impact and enhance customer value by promoting efficiency and eliminating waste. Our commitment to Lean encourages industries to adopt sustainable practices for a more resource-efficient future. At Procestimal we embrace the Lean Six Sigma methodology. It can not only drive business success but also contribute significantly to creating a better world for current and future generations.
2. Lifelong learning
Moreover, in today’s fast-paced business world, lifelong learning is essential to remain competitive. We prefer modular, self-paced learning over traditional theory-heavy courses. Therefore, the Lean Six Sigma curriculum is made modularly. It is available through e-learning so that you can learn the subject that you want when you want to. We also believe that training does not stop when you get your certification. Skill fading occurs over time, and when you want to apply the skills you learned during training you may want to get back to the list of tools. Therefore, we support dual use of our e-learning platform. We not only prepare you for Lean (Six Sigma) certification. But also provide you with a Lean (Six Sigma) toolkit that you can use in daily life at your organization.
3. Low entrance barriers
Consequently, we believe Lean Six Sigma should be accessible to all organizations, not just those with significant financial resources. All organizations may profit from Lean Six Sigma, and therefore we believe that the barriers to entry should be as low as possible. We support this by recommending free, open-source tools, offering e-learning over traditional classes. We provide subscription-based access to knowledge.
4. IASSC Body of Knowledge
Therefore, as Lean isn’t owned by any entity, certifying your skills can be complex. We believe that the best way to prove your Lean skills is by becoming 3rd-party independently certified. There are two organizations worldwide that provide this service and they are ASQ and IASSC. Our courses are based on the IASSC Body of Knowledge so that you are in the best position possible to become 3rd-party certified. For this reason, we also do not provide certifications ourselves. Since IASSC is best at keeping the standard of their exams, you can get certified through them after training with us.
5. Continuous improvement
In line with Lean philosophy, it is preferable to deliver 80% of your product or service on time rather than 100% too late. We act on this philosophy ourselves. Therefore we have published the complete Lean curriculum on our e-learning platform. And we are expanding gradually to Six Sigma as well whilst continuously improving existing modules. We gladly invite you to provide feedback on all or separate course modules so that we can continuously improve them to maximize customer value. We will also continue to expand the course modules until the complete Lean Six Sigma Body of Knowledge is covered.
