
Lean tools categorize based on their complexity levels. The first level is Yellow Belt, the second level is Green Belt, and the third and most complex level is Black Belt. The following list shows all Lean Green Belt tools that individuals trained at the Green Belt level can apply practically, in accordance with the IASSC Body of Knowledge. Note that the IASSC calls the Green Belt level “Lean Leader”.

A trained Lean Yellow Belt is a valuable team member in Lean improvement projects. A Green Belt typically leads small improvement initiatives, while a Black Belt takes responsibility for major projects.
